A different website reported this news as 'sales charts paint a gloomy picture for Wii U' - that's spin.
The figures, which I copied and pasted from the article after reading it, directly contradict the headline - being top selling console is a gloomy picture?!
Anyway, all we've been hearing is "hurf, it's selling less than last gen systems". Now what?

No need, just make sure it's cheaper than PS4/720 this Christmas with a few killer games ready to go (Smash Bros, Bayonetta 2 etc.)

Plenty of the 2D revival games have pushed us into new ground, the most obvious being Hard Corps Uprising, but also the Mario games which have combined 2D and 3D elements as well as harnessing the features of new hardware.
Elsewhere we've simply had really good additions to classic series, Mega Man 9, Sonic 4 etc. - who would complain about that?
